Bycmeer General Informational

General- Terms of use

  • Spesis- Bycmeer; Combination of RatDeer, Yak, Ibex, Caribou (aka: Reindeer), Ram, Moose, Horse, Bison (american), Markhor, Muledeer and Whitetailed Deer. Also called Daim or Tempdaim, meaning 'Weather Deer'. Native lauguage of these creatures is simular to French.
  • Adult males are refered to as Bucks, females as Ewes. Youths are called fawns, or females filles (not to be mistaken for fillies) and males Pouls.
  • Bright; herd; tribe; group; A group of mating bucks and ewe and their fawns. Once grown, a fawn will find a diffrent Bright. Brights consist of 1-3 bucks and 2-6 ewes, no more. The rankings go Elder, Younger, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth, depending on order of joining. Half-siblings, full siblings and parent-child pairs are never made; only unrelated tempdaim mate.
  • Light; gift; blessing; power; Each Bycmeer has a light. A light is a control over an element. Weather often changes due to the mood of the tempdaim. To see more on Lights, scroll down.

    Lights- Diffrent Kinds

Light's Name Information over the Light and Personalities it makes
Storm Quick to action and short tempered, they have power over bad weather; floods, tornados, hurricains and lightning is in their power. It is unwise to anger a Storm.
Cloud Clouds are kind and gentle, but easily hurt. As well as directing clouds, they call upon rains easily. The type of clouds in the sky seem to reflect the mood of the Cloud.
Sun Considerate and thoughtful, Suns can shine benevolently, but still my be overcast. They pride in their great skill over the sun's shine, and mood doesn't make such a large factor.
Wind Winds are exiteable and hyper, can blow a powerful gust or send a gentle breeze. They don't have very much skill over their light, but their usually good moods compensate.
Moon Moons are parinoid and fearsom towards outside forses, such as the Moon is fearful of day. Her gravity may pull others into her opinions, and her anger is a forse to be reconed with. They have just about no control, as they have short fuses.
Thermal Up beat and happy, loves to go everywhere and see everything. They are natural born adventurists and are never happy in one place. Thermals have great contol, but tend not to take advantage of it.
Sky Loving and helpful, she hold everyone together. Sky will help others in times of need, or when they just need a friend. Skys can get along with just about anybody. They have no real power of their own, but are more of an aid to others.
Mountain Secretive and blocks the proverbial rain from the desert so bady needing it. Mounts keep to themselves mostly. They have the power to stop rains and storms, but only when it really feels it must, will it.
Stars Quiet and sky, hides behind others and has a sence for things pretty. Star's effect is compleatly mood. The actual land is changed from the Star's light; ie, if the Star is sad, flowers will wilt and tree's leaves will blow away.
Snow Cold sometimes, but wins over by being fun and beutiful. Can be serious when need be, but knows how to have a little fun. Loves using it's power in the winter time, making light fluffy snow when pleased with the world.

Genetics and passing on of genes (genotypes)

Each tempdaim has a set of basic genetics provided for prediction of children's apearance. These genes apearing here are one of these diffrent types:

  • 1) A highly dominant, shown by a ( ) around a CAPITAL letter.
  • 2) A super dominant, shown by a * after a CAPITAL letter.
  • 3) A dominant, shown by a CAPITAL letter.
  • 4) A ressesive, shown by a lowercase letter.
  • 5) A super ressesive, shown by a * after a lowercase letter.
  • 6) A highly ressesive, shown by a ( ) around a lowercase letter.
  • A higher in dominance gene will show up over a less dominant gene and the highly ressesive genes will only show when there are two of them. A tempdaim get one gene from each catigory from each parent. Color is a bit diffrent, color is chosen randomly from the two choises given, rather than a ressesive or dominant trait given. The dominant winner then is the coat color, and if the tempdaim has mane, the ressesive loser is the mane's color. If the tempdaim has a mutation, the mutation could be random or, if mutation has a history in his blood line, could be inherited indirectly. Sometimes a 'blending' gene makes it's way into the genetic code. The blending gene is identafied by a ~ at the end of a normal gene sequence. It is usually un foreseen unless a parent is known to have it. The Blending gene occurs usually on coat mane or color, blending the two posibilities (ex: Mane:y, y~ Color:B, G would make the tempdaim have blue and green striped mane) Here is a list of catigories and posibilities:
